Good afternoon!
Happy "Talk Like a Pirate Day!" You may or not know this, but today is one of Mrs. Poch's (hot lunch lady's) favorite days! I encouraged the children to greet her with "Ahoy, Matey!" at lunch today. It was a happy surprise for Mrs. Poch, especially because she had missed that it was today! She was very grateful that we had clued her in and she had the children all give her a hearty "Arrrgh!" as she turned over their food trays. Sometimes it's a good thing to incorporate a little silliness into the day. :)
Tomorrow we will complete our MAP testing. I encouraged all of the children to get to bed early tonight so they got lots of rest. They asked what time and I suggested 5:30, so moms and dads, do with that what you like...
