Happy Monday!
Today we recognized Patriot Day in remembrance of September 11, 2001. While we did talk about what happened that day in class, I kept it to very general terms. The children already knew that planes crashed into buildings, they knew that people died because of the attack and we looked at pictures of the memorial. I told the children that if they wanted any additional information they needed to ask their parents about what happened and for permission to watch videos, etc.

Math - p. 26-27, fact work sheet (due tomorrow), number words Roll and Spell (due Friday)
Social Studies - worksheet - map scales (due tomorrow)
Reading - working on in class - no assignment
Phonics - worksheet (due tomorrow)
English - worksheet, mostly completed in class, also Roll a Word sheet (due tomorrow)
Handwriting - worksheet (due tomorrow)
