Field trip day was a success! Thank you very much to all of the chaperones who helped out today!
The class collected a total of $44.80. It was our job this afternoon to decide what we would like to do with the money. After listing several ideas on the board we voted. I am so very proud to say that the class decided to give 10% back to God in chapel next week and that the full remainder should be sent to a WELS church or school in Houston. We talked with Mr. H and he is going to check into which church or school needs the most help. He is very proud of the students too and will be getting back to us with contact information so we can send a letter with our donation.
The class also decided they wanted to keep the "extra money" collecting going. We now have a jar in the classroom to which we will keep adding throughout the year, and we will periodically count it and decide what we would like to do with the money.
Your child brought home a scavenger hunt sheet from the library today. If/when they complete it they can turn it in to the library in the children's section to receive prizes!

Hymn 446:1, 3 due tomorrow, several students have already recited
Art - line art drawing due tomorrow
Handwriting - cursive lowercase r and s, due tomorrow
