Highlights from today:
Most of the students said their memory work early today, good job!
Math class was really, really hard! (Just kidding.) We are reviewing basic math facts to make sure they have a solid base before we move on to other concepts. Today we started easy by practicing adding 0s, 1s and 2s. I told them to not expect every class to be this "difficult". ;)
English class was frustrating for several of the students. We were working on alphabetizing words and using guide words in a dictionary. We are going to slow down and focus on these two skills for a little bit until everyone is comfortable.
Today's assignments:
Memory Work - Gen. 1:1 for tomorrow, 1st Article part 1 has to be said by the end of the week
Reading - Character traits worksheet (most students have already finished this and handed it in)
Handwriting - finish worksheets, they only have to do a portion of each page - enough to feel like they are comfortable writing the letters which all belong to the same family based on how they are made.
English - workbook page 71, we did this together in class. Students were allowed to take their books home to do Exercise 4 as extra credit if they wished to.
